Farah Khan MD, MPH, DABPN (Psychiatry), DABPN (Psychosomatic Medicine)
Dr. Khan is a graduate of the Aga Khan Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan. She completed a Masters of Public Health in Epidemiology at University of Alabama Birmingham. Following her Masters, Dr. Khan pursued training in Psychiatry at Texas A&M University Health Science Center. Dr. Khan has been in practice since 2004. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology as well as Diplomate of Psychosomatic Medicine. She takes a particular interest in health care services provision, public mental health, sleep medicine, consultation-liaison psychiatry and forensic psychiatry. She has special expertise in Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) / Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Bipolar Disorder/Manic Depressive Disorder, Depression, Schizophrenia and Sleep Disorders. Dr. Khan offers pharmocogenomic testing, that eliminates the trial and error of various psychiatric medications. This is made possible by identifying an individual's genetic differences and hence normal or variable metabolism of medication, that may determine the response or lack thereof, as well as potential of side effects.
Ms. Lynne Kilgore MEd , LPC
Ms. Kilgore enjoys working with all populations (adults, children, and adolescents). Some of her areas of interest and expertise include, but are not limited to, cognitive Behavioral therapy, family counseling, geriatric issues, addiction, adolescent issues (such as being oppositional defiant). She began human service work in 1986, and received her Master of Education in Counseling from the University of Montevallo (Montevallo, Al) in 1994. She became a Licensed Professional Counselor in 2001.
Emily Whitt Psy D
Dr. Emily Whitt is a licensed clinical psychologist offering psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults. She completed her clinical internship at Miami Children’s Hospital in the department of psychiatry and was a member of their eating disorder treatment team. Dr. Whitt received her doctorate in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University.
Dr. Whitt has specialized training in Family Based Therapy of Eating Disorders (The Maudsley Method) and in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a treatment for trauma.
